Jeremy Corbyn to headline QMU

THE Queen Margaret Union has announced that failed Leader of the Opposition, Jeremy Corbyn, will headline their Freshers week line-up this September.

The 67 year old Labour MP will be at the centre of a music night on the Saturday of Freshers under the banner “Hummus Happiness”. His vegan DJ set has taken the internet by storm, with hipsters across the country describing it as “fresh”, “new” and “relatable”.

The event will be held in Qudos, the Union’s primary gig venue, which holds nearly 900 students – or the entire Labour Party membership.

The QMU-President Elect said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting such a popular night at our Union with such a popular man.

“Jeremy is someone one renowned for bringing people together and holding a crowd spellbound, so we thought it was only right he should see the night out.

Although the Glasgow University Union are yet to announce their Freshers line-up, it is expected they are also due to book a high profile act.
